Acceptable Use Policy

SelahCard is a tool for professionals to share their contact information. We keep the platform safe and useful by prohibiting the behaviours below. This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without refund, and may also be reported to law enforcement.

1. Impersonation

You may not create a card that impersonates another person, business, or entity — including public figures, government officials, or employees of organisations you don't represent. If you use a business name or title, you must have the right to use it.

2. Illegal, Harmful, or Prohibited Content

You may not use SelahCard to promote, facilitate, or distribute:

• Content that is illegal under U.S. federal law or the law of your local jurisdiction;
• Child sexual abuse material, or any content that exploits minors;
• Hate speech, threats, harassment, or incitement to violence;
• Malware, phishing, or deceptive content designed to harm visitors;
• Pirated content, counterfeit goods, or any content that infringes intellectual property;
• Fraudulent schemes, pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or misleading financial claims;
• Regulated goods that require licensure you do not have (firearms sales, pharmaceuticals, etc.);
• Sexually explicit material, escort/adult services, or content that violates payment-processor policies.

3. Spam & Abuse

You may not:

• Send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or messages promoting your SelahCard URL;
• Harvest contact information from card views for marketing outside SelahCard;
• Use the Service to harass, bully, or intimidate individuals;
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans, trial limits, or rate limits.

4. Technical Abuse

You may not:

• Attempt to hack, breach, reverse-engineer, or probe the Service's security;
• Run automated scrapers, bots, or load-testing tools against SelahCard;
• Interfere with other users' cards or accounts;
• Circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or plan features;
• Frame, embed, or mirror SelahCard in a way that misrepresents its source.

5. Intellectual Property Abuse

Don't upload photos, logos, or content you don't have the rights to use. Don't use our name, logo, or trademarks without written permission. If you believe content on SelahCard infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to legal@selahcard.com including: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) URL of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact info; (d) a statement of good-faith belief; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised; (f) physical or electronic signature.

6. Privacy Abuse

Don't publish other people's personal information (phone numbers, home addresses, private emails) on your card without their consent. Don't use SelahCard to dox, stalk, or track individuals.

7. Enforcement

We investigate reports of policy violations and may, at our sole discretion:

• Remove or edit violating content;
• Suspend the account temporarily;
• Terminate the account permanently without refund;
• Report the conduct to relevant authorities;
• Pursue legal remedies available under law.

We are not obligated to monitor all content, and the absence of action on our part does not waive our right to act later.

8. Reporting Violations

To report a policy violation — including impersonation, harassment, or illegal content — email legal@selahcard.com with:

• The URL of the offending card;
• A description of the violation;
• Your contact information (for follow-up; kept confidential unless required by law).
