Refund Policy
We want you to love SelahCard. If something doesn't work out, here's exactly how refunds work — in plain language, no fine print.
1. Free Trial & Payment Method Requirement
Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business) include a 7-day free trial. To start the trial you must provide a valid payment method (credit, debit, or other Stripe-supported method) at checkout.
No charge will be made before day 7. If you cancel any time before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
If you do not cancel before day 7, your trial automatically converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged the then-current plan price. By starting a trial you authorize this conversion.
2. 7-Day Post-Charge Refund Window — No Questions Asked
For the first 7 days after your initial paid charge (i.e. days 7–14 of your account), you may request a full refund of that first payment for any reason, no questions asked. Just email support@selahcard.com with your account email and the subject "Refund request."
After this 7-day post-charge window closes, the standard cancellation terms below apply.
3. Monthly Subscriptions — Cancel Anytime
Monthly plans are billed in advance each month. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Prorated refunds for partial months are not provided outside the 7-day post-charge window described in Section 2 — if you cancel mid-month, you keep access for the rest of that month, and no further charges will be made.
4. Annual Subscriptions
Annual plans benefit from the same 7-day post-charge refund window as monthly plans (Section 2). After that window, annual plans are non-refundable, but you retain access for the full 12 months and can cancel auto-renewal at any time from your dashboard.
5. Physical NFC Cards & Team Packs
Physical add-ons (Basic NFC Card $15, Custom Branded NFC $29, Custom QR Design $19, Team Pack $99) are produced to your specifications. We accept returns under these conditions:
- Unused and unopened: returnable within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
- Opened or programmed: not returnable — the card is unique to you. If the card is defective or arrives damaged, we will replace it at no cost (see Section 6).
- Custom-branded cards: once we've started production (which begins immediately after payment for Custom Branded NFC and Team Packs), these are non-refundable, but we'll reprint free of charge if the print is defective.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
6. Defective or Damaged Items
If your physical card arrives defective, damaged, or does not work when tapped, contact us at support@selahcard.com within 14 days of delivery with photos. We will send a free replacement or issue a full refund at your option.
7. Disputed Charges
If you notice an unauthorised or incorrect charge, contact us at support@selahcard.com within 30 days. We will investigate and resolve legitimate disputes promptly.
8. How Refunds Are Issued
Refunds are credited to the original payment method used for the purchase. Processing typically takes 5-10 business days, though your bank or card issuer may take longer to post the credit.
9. Cancellation Outside Refund Windows
Cancellation requests outside the refund windows above are processed as "cancel auto-renewal" — you retain access for the remainder of the current period and are not billed again. This is also self-service from your dashboard at any time.
10. Fraud or Policy Abuse
We reserve the right to deny refunds in cases of fraud, chargebacks made in bad faith, or repeated subscription-and-refund cycles (e.g. signing up, cancelling for refund, re-signing up). If you've already received a refund on a prior subscription, we may require prepayment via a non-refundable method for future purchases.
